Laser Operator – Industrial Laser Safety Training

This one-day training course is aimed at Operators, Technicians, and other staff operating or working around Lasers. To enable these individuals to clearly understand Laser hazards and Safety requirements and follow the procedures and guidelines set forth by the LSO, for prevention of hazards. LSO’s may send their staff to save themselves the time and resources required to train their staff. Topics explained will include basics of lasers, bio-physics, laser safety standards, control measures, PPE and worker’s responsibilities in the industrial laser settings
**Note: This is a laser SAFETY training course. This will not include instruction on use of specific lasers or hands-on-training.

2:00-2:30 Basic Terminology: MPE, NHZ, NOHD, OD, AEL etc.
2:30-3:00 Protective Eyewear, Requirements.
3:15-3:45 Laser Safety Officer’s Role, Duties and Responsibilities– Laser Safety Program
3:45-4:15 Worker/Operator Responsibilities: Policy, Procedures, and Audits
4:15-4:40 Laser Accidents, Scenarios, Lessons Learned
4:40-5:00 Questions/Review & Summary
WHO SHOULD ATTEND
This one-day training course is suitable for anyone operating, maintaining lasers or working in an environment where high power lasers are used. The training session will get you up to speed with the basics of current laser safety procedures and requirements. You will learn basic laser physics, laser bio-effects, beam and non-beam hazards and control measures for safe laser environments.
